According to Modi, everyone must benefit from climate action

The Prime Minister said that developing nations in the Global South, which are particularly susceptible to the effects of the climate crisis, must be given priority in climate action. These nations account for 80% of the world's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

"We must take stronger action to fulfill our obligations under the Paris Agreement and the UN Climate Convention. This will be essential in assisting the Global South in achieving its developmental goals in a manner that is climate-friendly.
