Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, declared that the double-engine administration had now become a "triple engine" only moments after Ajit Pawar joined the NDA.
"At the moment, there is just one chief minister and two deputy chief ministers. Ajit Pawar and his leaders are welcome. The expertise of Ajit Pawar will aid in the growth of Maharashtra, remarked Shinde as he spoke with the media.
The chief minister also said that there is still plenty of time to negotiate seat distribution in the cabinet. The opposition was able to win four to five seats in the last Lok Sabha election, but this time, he claimed, they won't even be able to do that.
However, Deepak Kesarkar, a minister in Maharashtra, asserted that Pawar is a capable politician and that he has consistently been invited to join our party, adding that the state administration will put Maharashtra's advancement first.
Sharad Pawar, the leader of the NCP, left for his home in Pune in the meantime and will give a press conference shortly.
The NCP recently received a major setback when Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis witnessed Sharad Pawar's nephew take the oath of office as Maharashtra's deputy chief minister. This development occurred shortly after Pawar declared that he would no longer like to serve as the opposition leader.
