More than 32 students who were residing in the SR Prime Junior College dormitory at Bhattupally in the Hanamkonda area were unwell on Sunday night, reportedly as a result of food poisoning.
The students raised concerns about food poisoning. They experienced stomach aches, diarrhea, and vomiting after consuming the egg biryani that was given for supper at the hostel mess.
Following the persistence of their food poisoning symptoms, some of the patients were reportedly sent to two different hospitals in Hanamkonda and Warangal on Monday morning.
15 pupils were transferred to the emergency ward, while 15 students were allegedly discharged after treatment after their conditions stabilized.
Later in the day, a medical team from Kadipikonda PHC and a group of health officials went to the private residential college in Bhattupally.
