After a Khalistani terrorist from Punjab's Firozpur was recently captured in Portugal, the network came to light.
The person was discovered to be in possession of a number of lethal weapons, including an AK-47, an MP-5 submachine gun, hand grenades, and a pistol. The person was in the country on a tourist visa.
He was allegedly given the assignment by the ISI to deliver these weapons to wanted criminals in Punjab.
According to sources, India summoned Canada's High Commissioner Cameron MacKay on Monday to express concerns regarding planned protests by pro-Khalistan terrorist groups on July 8.
The pro-Khalistani demonstrations were reportedly scheduled to take place outside the Indian High Commission in Ottawa as well as two consulates in Toronto and Vancouver.
Following the publication of several names of Indian diplomats on Khalistani threat posters in Canada, the action was taken.
