The children of the 27-year-old could be seen screaming at the top of their lungs in the social media video that showed her being carried away by the enormous wave. Police arrived on the scene right away after being notified of the occurrence by those who were there.
On June 10, after a roughly 20-hour rescue effort, Jyotu's body was discovered close to the Mumbai Coast Guard.
Her husband told the authorities that he might be saved because a man was pulling him quickly toward the edge. Jyoti, however, perished in the sea before she could be saved.
