'Centre for Entrepreneurship' to be established at Gautam Buddha University with an emphasis on start-ups

A 'Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skilled Human Resources is being created at Greater Noida's Gautam Buddha University (GBU) with the goal of empowering students studying management and technology. Officials announced on Friday that the university and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support industry-focused training and certification programmes.

The programme is aimed at students who want to launch their own businesses and obtain practical experience in their chosen industries.

GBU students enrolled in this Centre will have access to internships, placements and field trips in the management and technology sectors beginning with the upcoming session, which begins on August 16 for new students and August 7 for returning students, according to officials with knowledge of the situation.

"STPI will act as a mentor to our students, providing certification programmes and internships," said Dr Vishwas Tripathi, the GBU registrar. The company engages in a number of projects for the Indian government and provides our students with internship possibilities. Furthermore, STPI focuses on translational research, allowing students to build on prior research, fix any flaws, and bridge the gap between lab research and industry applications to quickly introduce novel ideas to the Indian market.
