Irfan (28), the defendant, allegedly lived with the family for five to six years until being ordered to leave because he allegedly started harassing Nargis.
First cousins, with their moms being sisters, were the accuser and the victim. He allegedly used an iron rod to kill a woman in a park in Malviya Nagar, South Delhi, on Friday, according to police.

"My sister complained to my father when he began to mistreat her, and he reprimanded him and sent him back to his own country. Around a year and a half ago, he returned to Auraiya and began his own job there. But once his firm failed, he went back to the capital and began residing in the Sangam Vihar neighborhood," Sameer added.
Irfan was attempting to join the army last year, but was unsuccessful, according to the victim's neighbor Ashfaq. As a result, Irfan is now employed by a food delivery service.

Around noon, police received word that a man had struck a woman in the head with an iron rod in Malviya Nagar's Vijay Mandal Park before fleeing. An iron rod was found next to the woman's body, which was discovered under a bench bleeding from the skull.
Police said that Nargis and Irfan had a previous romantic involvement and were even considering getting married, but Nargis' family ultimately objected.
Irfan grew agitated after Nargis stopped speaking to him, according to the police.
