Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, his sister Priyanka Gandhi, the party's national secretary, and their mother, Sonia Gandhi, met with a group of women farmers from Haryana as part of an outreach project. The women farmers jokingly requested Sonia Gandhi marry Rahul Gandhi during their playful conversation. Then she retorted, "You find a girl for him." Rahul added that "it will happen".

The gathering took place at a luncheon that Sonia Gandhi hosted at her home. Rahul posted an Instagram photo from the meeting.

The Congress leader had previously made a stop in Sonipat, Haryana, as part of his iconic Bharat Jodo Yatra, where he made a pledge to a group of women farmers that he would set up a Delhi darshan and lunch for them.

"Rahul Gandhi had pledged to transport the Sonipat farming sisters to Delhi. Farmer sisters arrived in Delhi, fulfilling the commitment, the Congress stated on Twitter.

Priyanka Gandhi was overheard saying, "Rahul was naughtier than her, but she got the scolding instead," in another section of the video.
