Following a severe collision involving two vehicles, 800 chickens perished

 


A pickup van driver and 800 hens were murdered in a terrible occurrence reported from Maharashtra's Thane region as a result of a severe collision involving two cars. Early on Thursday, the accident happened in Thane district's Murbad neighborhood.

"The dead fowl were being transported in a tempo headed for Badlapur. While heading towards Malshej ghat was the pickup truck. A collision involving two vehicles occurred at 5 a.m. in the Ambele village, which is about 10 miles from Murbad, a police official reported.

Prakash Durke has been named as the deceased pickup driver. He passed away instantly. According to a story in PTI, approximately 800 hens that were being transported in the tempo were also killed in the mishap, according to a police official from Murbad police station.

The driver's body was moved to a government hospital for an autopsy after the collision. According to officials, the procedure to dispose of the chicken carcasses is in progress.

When a lorry struck a barrier in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom, on the M62 Highway in 2014, around 1000 hens perished in a comparable tragedy.

When the truck crashed into the barrier on the eastbound highway, it was hauling 6,800 hens.

Nearly 1,500 chickens were left after the disaster, some of which made it out unharmed.

According to Michael Clarke, a representative of the highway administration, some 2,000 poultry fled the scene of the accident before being captured.
