If PM Modi doesn't react, Congress Member on motion of no-confidence

In an interview with PTI on Sunday, Congress MP Manish Tewari claimed that the united Opposition had no choice but to introduce the no-confidence resolution in the Loksabha after PM Modi made a "cursory" remark about Manipur just before the start of the Monsoon Session. Manish Tewari asserted that it would be a travesty if PM Modi did not respond to Manipur in Parliament. The Congress has already stated that the purpose of the no-confidence resolution is to force PM Modi to address the Manipur crisis in Parliament, not to address the statistics that favor the NDA. Additionally, the opposition has previously introduced a no-confidence resolution against the PM Modi administration.

The Congress MP stated that all laws enacted in the Lok Sabha following the admission of the no-confidence motion are "constitutionally suspect" and should be taken up first when a no-confidence motion is accepted. "What has occurred in Manipur and what is happening there is completely abhorrent. There is a BJP government in both the state and the federal government. As a result, accountability must be assumed, Tewari stated.

It will be a travesty, according to Manish Tewari, if PM Modi decides not to respond to Manipur. The motion reads, "This house expresses lack of confidence in the council of ministers," and for the past week, the justification has been repeatedly stated in public. Tewari remarked.

The daily adjournment motions that the opposition submitted may have been approved by the government, and a minister could have responded to them. The administration, however, decided not to accept them. In these circumstances, the Congress MP questioned, "What was the hesitation and diffidence in coming and addressing Parliament on the same matter if the prime minister could come outside of Parliament and say that the developments in Manipur had made our heads hang in collective shame.
