In Kanpur, a guy in class 10 fatally stabs a classmate

KANPUR At an inter-college in the Bidhnoo neighborhood of the Kanpur suburb, a Class 10 student is accused of fatally stabbing a classmate on Monday morning. Ankita Sharma, an extra DCP, reported that the police had detained the 16-year-old suspect and were questioning him about the reason behind the attack in the classroom.

The accused, who is also 16 years old, was in the same class as the victim. Around 11 a.m., the latter charged at his classmate while holding a kitchen knife in his hand, repeatedly stabbing him in the neck and causing serious injuries until school personnel overpowered him.

Eyewitnesses informed police that the assault occurred during recess when a few pupils were still in the classroom. The victim was sent in critical condition to the LLR hospital.

The extra DCP stated that because the student was a minor, he or she would be brought before the child welfare committee (CWC) before being placed in a juvenile facility.

"When the kids cried about the attack, I was at the gate. I hurried to the classroom with a few other teachers. Nilendra was on the ground, motionless, and the boy was standing there, according to the school's principal.

"I transported the victim to the hospital in my car since he was losing a lot of blood, but the doctors were unable to rescue him. The accused pupil was taken away by the police after a teacher notified the New Azad Nagar police station, the speaker continued.

Although the attack's motivation could not be determined, it did become clear that there was tension between the two pupils. Students reported to police that there had previously been fights and disagreements between them.

According to a senior police officer, the accused was uncooperative when questioned, and the school administration was also involved in the inquiry.
