Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan has stated his intention to pursue legal action against the Annavaram temple's decision to offer bids for a variety of rituals and services, such as marriages officiated by Hindu priests. Pawan Kalyan has expressed his concern over the decision.
Speaking at his final public event of the second leg of his election campaign in the former Godavari districts on Friday, PK stated that this was against both the AP Endowments Act and the provisions of the Indian Constitution. According to him, it would violate the Constitution's Article 25 guarantee of the right to freedom of religion.
He challenged Chief Minister Jagan Reddy to adopt the same attitude towards Muslims and Christians after criticizing him for "showing disrespect" to Hinduism.
The PK advised the CM to maintain neutrality in such delicate circumstances and to refrain from interfering in religious matters. According to him, the state government may step in to regulate things like the selling of flowers, prasadam, coconuts, businesses for rent, and other temple-related enterprises.
The Jana Sena leader urged Jagan Reddy to "not trouble Hindus" in matters of religion, saying that "all of us are Andhrites, Indians, and living together with religious harmony."
In reference to the CAG report, which claimed that significant amounts intended for panchayat raj were being diverted for other uses in AP, leaving the gram panchayats without funds and that there has been a diversion of funds from what is meant for other purposes to volunteers, PK said he would legally challenge such diversion of funds by the state government.
Pawan Kalyan voiced concern over how the cost of necessities increased during the YSR Congress administration. He criticized the minister of civil supplies KVN Rao for "abusing" the farmers by addressing them as "Yerri Pappa" when they complained to him about sprouting paddy as a result of the rains. They told the minister that the government was not buying their produce, so he needed to step in and assist them, PK said.
Actor-politician Jagan Reddy claimed that the chief minister was putting restrictions on the implementation of several welfare programs, including Amma Vodi, and breaking his election-year promise to abolish the Contributory Pension Scheme in order to reinstate the Old Pension Scheme. He claimed that because of a health issue, Jagan Reddy was resorting to lying.
PK brought up the subject of volunteers gathering residents' personal information once more and claimed that this was unlawful.
"Instead of 1.60 lakhs during the TD administration, there are now three lakh belt shops thanks to the YSR Congress. When 3,372 women were raped and numerous women went missing in AP, the Disha app is useless, he claimed.
