Maharashtra Navnirman Sena would host a programme for Muslim girl "ghar wapsi"

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, led by Raj Thackeray, said on Monday that it would host a "ghar wapsi" program for a Muslim girl. The group claimed that the girl was coerced into accepting Islam.

On Monday at 9 a.m., the party organized a ceremony at the Kalika Mata temple in Mumbai's West Dadar neighborhood.

The party announced that Yashwant Killedar, Abhay Mungekar, and Siddhant Mohite will participate in the programming via a poster for the event.

The girl was labeled by the MNS as having fallen victim to the "love jihad" trap. The party invited journalists, all Mumbai residents, Hindu organizations, and all Hindu people to attend the program in huge numbers. They were urged to pray for the girl's future as she converted back to Hinduism.

Hinduism's fringe groups frequently refer to incidents where Hindu women marry Muslim men as "love jihad." They claim that these girls were brainwashed into joining Islam and coerced into altering their religion. They further assert that Muslims are doing this on purpose.

The word "ghar wapsi" is typically used to refer to those Muslims who the fringe organization alleges were forced into becoming Muslims and are now prepared to revert to Hinduism.
