Over 3.7 lakh pilgrims participate in the Amarnath Yatra in just 27 days

Over 3.7 lakh pilgrims visited the sacred shrine in the first 27 days of this year's Amarnath Yatra, exceeding the total number of visitors from last year.

On July 1, the yatra to the sacred cave sanctuary had started. Officials anticipate that this year's yatra may attract more than 500,000 pilgrims.

A government spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir attributed the high volume of visitors to the administration's well-organized plans. The administration's flawless planning is largely responsible for the overwhelming success of the Amarnathji Yatra-2023. Every aspect of the yatra has been methodically planned to provide the pilgrims with unmatched comfort, including the provision of langar services, healthcare facilities, cleanliness, transportation, and security measures. They have expressed their sincere gratitude for the well-coordinated efforts, and the flawless execution of these arrangements has increased the number of devotees who are anxious to start the spiritually enlightening trip.

Even pilgrims have praised the administration's efforts to make travel easy and hassle-free.

The total number of visitors to the sacred cave shrine increased by almost 9,150 on Friday, bringing it to 3,69,288. The overall number for the previous year was 3,65,721.

Saina Nehwal, a well-known badminton player, and Sara Ali Khan, a Bollywood actress, were among the notable individuals who paid the shrine a visit this time, the spokeswoman for the shrine said.
