Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao requested that a school holiday be declared for Friday, July 28, despite the fact that it was pouring heavily outside. Due to rain, Telangana's schools were already closed on July 26 and 27.
The announcement was made on the CM's official Twitter account. The statement states, "In view of incessant heavy to very heavy rains in the state, Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has instructed Education Minister Smt. @SabithalndraTRS to declare a holiday to all educational institutions for tomorrow (Friday) and issue necessary orders immediately."
A red alert has been issued for eight areas, according to the details.
