A private bus carrying more than 50 passengers overturned in a field near Kanimangalam in Thrissur, Kerala on Friday morning. More than 30 people were injured in the accident. However, the condition of one of the passengers is said to be critical.
Police said the bus was carrying people between Thrissur and Triprayar when the accident happened around 8:30 a.m.
Revenue Minister K Rajan said the injured were being treated at two private and government hospitals in Thrissur Taluk. The minister also visited the injured in the hospital.
Police said ongoing repair work on the road may have been the cause of the crash.Â
