Antim Panghal becomes the first Indian wrestler to win the U20 World Championship in a row

On Friday, Indian wrestler Antim Panghal made history by scoring an achievement hat-trick. Panghal won the women's U20 world championship consecutively, successfully defending the 53kg crown and becoming the first Indian woman to do so. Demonstrating unsurpassed agility and unparalleled strength, she stands out on a global platform.

Hailing from Hisar in Haryana, Panghal showed dominance throughout the fight against his Ukrainian rival, Mariia Yefremova. A display of raw strength and strategic moves helped him to an easy 4-0 victory. During the tournament, Panghal conceded only two points, proving his unparalleled skill and strength.

Panghal's winning streak heralds a bright future in India's women's wrestling. Before that, she shocked the national senior wrestler, Vinesh Phogat, by challenging her to challenges at the Asian Games. She showcased her indomitable spirit as she claimed her ability to beat the honored senior wrestler in the challenges.

This extraordinary talent made headlines last year when she won the World Junior Championship title, becoming the first Indian female wrestler to do so. Now she has seamlessly transitioned to the senior ring.

Panghal's nimble moves and two-footed attacks combined with Panghal's superior strength made the Ukrainian opponent gasp. She ends the match with a successful attack with her right foot, converting it into a knockdown.

In the 57kg category, Reena won 9-4 against Shugyla Omirbek of Kazakhstan, taking bronze. Savita (62 kg) and Antim Kundu (65 kg) also competed for the gold medal. Panghal's victory truly set the stage for a revolutionary moment in the annals of Indian women's wrestling, fueling the flames of hope for a brighter future.
