Anup Jalota: "I feel younger and more energetic" at the age of 70

Anup Jalota, a seasoned performer, turned 70 on Saturday, July 29. The Bhajan Samraat hosted a party for his friends and family on Sunday, but he kept the celebration low-key and joined musician Sonu Nigam to ring in his 50th birthday (July 30) at midnight instead. At 70, most people would want to take a break and ease up, but Jalota feels ready to start his "third innings" now.

I began performing on stage when I was seven years old, he says. My second era began when I was 30 when I received widespread recognition, published many albums, and established myself as a household name. My second inning was really exhausting and long, but it was also quite satisfying. I endured it until I was 70. I never had a day off because I was always working on songs and giving performances. I anticipate that my third innings will be the busiest due to the numerous shows I currently have scheduled in several nations. I feel younger, and I know the third inning of my career will be incredibly exciting.

The performer continues by stating that he is "energetic" and "enjoying singing on stage much more than before." "Main maanta hoon jo shesh hai, woh vishesh hai," continues Jalota, "whatever is left would be extremely remarkable. Without music in my life, I cannot make the remaining years of my life any more meaningful than they already are.
