Apple warns iPhone users to sleep next to their phones while charging

Apple has issued a warning to phone users, warning them of the potential dangers of sleeping next to a charging phone. In a service announcement, the company emphasized the importance of properly charging the phone and highlighted the risks associated with sleeping next to a device connected to a charging cable.

Risks include the possibility of fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the phone and property. To avoid these dangers, Apple urges users to make sure their phones are charged when connected to the cable in a well-ventilated area.

Also, don't charge your phone under a blanket or pillow as there is an increased risk of the device overheating. Apple's main message is clear:
"Do not sleep on devices, power adapters, or wireless chargers, and avoid placing them under blankets, pillows, or your body when connected to a power source." You should always use or charge your iPhone, power adapter, and wireless charger in well-ventilated areas. Apple also points out the potential danger of using third-party chargers, especially cheaper alternative chargers that may not meet Apple's official product safety standards. To address this concern, Apple recommends that users choose a "Made for iPhone" cable that meets international safety standards.

The company explains that while iPhones can be charged using third-party cables and power adapters that comply with USB 2.0 standards or later and applicable safety regulations, other adapters may not comply. according to these safety standards, this poses a risk of damage or even death. Apple's warning doesn't just stop at sleeping while charging. It also emphasizes the importance of avoiding charging the phone near liquids or water and emphasizes the need to dispose of damaged chargers immediately. Using damaged cables or chargers or charging in the presence of moisture can result in fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to both iPhone and other property. In short, Apple's advice is to prioritize security by strictly following its guidelines. By following these recommendations, users can protect themselves, their phones, and the environment from potential harm.
