On Wednesday, BJP leaders in the West Midnapore district of West Bengal held a yagna (worship) to ensure Chandrayaan-3's safe landing.
The yagna was performed in front of a statue of Lord Shiva that was positioned beneath a tree in the Battala Chak neighborhood of Medinipur town. Samit Das, the BJP state co-president, and other party members participated in the yagna for hours.
Samit Das said, "Chandrayaan-3 may face some problems due to environmental reasons," when discussing the significance of the yagna. Because of this, a powerhouse that can rival all of the Western powers is necessary. To make prayers, we have come to the Shiv temple.
During the rite, BJP minister Dilip Ghosh also voiced support for India's moon project. He predicted that Chandrayaan-3 will arrive safely. The entire world, including Pakistan, China, and more than 130 crore people, are watching the sky for India's triumphant moment when Vikram Lander touches down on the moon.
On the other side, locals and space enthusiasts organized a yagna in the Cooch Behar neighborhood. People of various ages participated in the ceremony, and a priest prepared a big circular pit to house the sacred fire.
