Chandrayaan-3: According to Isro, two of the three goals were accomplished

The third goal of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, in-situ scientific investigations, is now being carried out, according to information released by ISRO on Saturday.

All of Chandrayaan-3's payloads, according to the National Space Agency based here, are operating smoothly.

"Of the three mission goals, demonstrating a secure and gentle landing on the lunar surface was successfully completed by the Chandrayaan-3 mission. It is successful in demonstrating Rover wandering on the moon. Scientific in situ experiments are being carried out. Isro reported on 'X,' formerly known as Twitter, that all payloads were operating normally.

India became the fourth nation to accomplish the feat and the first to reach the unexplored South Pole of Earth's sole natural satellite on Wednesday as the Lander Module (LM) of Isro's ambitious Chandrayaan-3, the third Moon mission, landed on the lunar surface.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the decision to rename the location of the Chandrayaan-3 Vikram lander's soft landing as "Shiv Shakti Point" and the location of the Chandrayaan-2 lander's 2019 crash landing as "Tiranga Point."

Additionally, Modi declared that August 23, the day the Chandrayaan-3 lander made contact with the lunar surface, will be observed as "National Space Day."
