Chandrayaan-3: Police complaint against Prakash Raj in Karnataka for 'teasing' Moon mission

Actor Prakash Raj has reportedly been the subject of a complaint at a police station in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka for allegedly insulting the Chandrayaan-3 mission in a social media post.

The actor is accused of mocking Chandrayaan-3, India's ambitious third moon mission, in his X post (formerly on Twitter), according to the authorities.

Hindu group leaders reported the actor to the Banahatti police station in the Bagalkote area and urged that something be done, they continued.

Raj captioned a cartoon of a man pouring tea while wearing a shirt and lungi on Sunday, "First view just arrived from Chandrayaan. #VikramLander #justasking."

Since then, Raj has experienced significant hostility as a result of claims that the Chandrayaan-3 mission is connected to national pride.

Angry comments on social media Raj then clarified his remarks on X, saying they were merely meant as a joke. Hate only perceives Hate...Which Chaiwala did the Trolls see in a joke from #Armstrong Times honoring our Kerala Chaiwala? If you don't get the joke, you are the target of the joke. GROW UP #justasking," he wrote in a post.

On August 23, at approximately 18:04, the Chandrayaan-3 is scheduled to touch down on the moon, according to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
