Could Vivek Ramaswamy Be Trump's Companion? A hopeful Indian-American say

Indian-American businessman and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on Saturday said he would turn down someone else's offer to be vice president if he didn't win the Republican nomination on Saturday. year 2024.

"I'm not interested in another position in government," Ramaswamy said in an interview with Fox News. "Honestly, I would drive change in the private sector rather than take on the number two or number three role in the federal government."

Later that Saturday, while chatting with Erick Erickson at a conference in the Atlanta area, he also responded to a comment that suggested he was too young to run for president. Ramaswamy, 38, is the youngest candidate in the main GOP field.

"My wife and I thought about this:
Should we wait another 20 years until our sons are gone, allowing us to gain more experience? Ramaswamy said. "The truth is I don't believe our country has only 20 years left if we just sit back and watch."

Ramaswamy, who has risen sharply in the GOP preliminary polls, is currently alongside Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in second place. He is best known in conservative circles for voicing criticism of environmental, social, and corporate governance standards before announcing his candidacy.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to enjoy strong support among Republicans and could very well win the Republican presidential nomination. The latest polls show that Trump has about 53% support from Republican primary voters - well ahead of his party's opponents.

If DeSantis fails in the polls and Ramaswamy cannot beat Trump in the Republican primaries next year, it is highly likely that he will be offered as Trump's running mate. Ramaswamy also stressed that he doesn't think anyone can be too old to be president except Joe Biden.

He explains: “There are more energetic older people out there than many people my age, and they may still have their best days ahead.

"That doesn't apply to Joe Biden," he quickly added after Erickson stepped in to ask.
