A Dalit man has been stabbed in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly refusing to bring alcohol to his attacker. A complaint was filed and the defendant, Raju, was arrested.
The incident happened in the village of Jaurahi when Premchandra, a Dalit man, was sitting outside his house on Sunday. According to his family, he was sitting outside when a villager approached Premchandra and asked him to bring him wine.
Premchandra refuses to give alcohol to the man, Raju. Raju then continued to stab the Dalit man in the stomach and neck.
He was taken to the hospital and died during treatment.
Relatives of Premchandra told police that Raju had a criminal record. He was then arrested by the police.
