Delhi Police: 2 boys were abused by classmates at a government school

According to police, two teachers and the school's principal allegedly failed to report the crime and asked the two survivors, Class 8 students, and their parents not to talk about it.

In response to the survivors' accusations, two cases were opened on Saturday at the Shahbad Dairy police station under the provisions of the Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act and the Indian Penal Code. According to the deputy commissioner of police for the outer north Ravi Kumar Singh, four of the six suspects were detained and brought before the CWC.

The incident, according to the Delhi government, was "despicable". A committee has been formed, according to a government official, to look into the situation.

According to the police, one of the boys, who was about 13 years old, claimed that at a school summer camp in April, a group of children who were all of the same age as the survivor sexually raped him for seven days at a nearby park. The youngster said that he told two teachers about the sexual assault when the suspects began to harass him a few days ago, according to authorities.

Police cited the boy's statement, "However, the teachers asked him to not tell anyone about it," as their response. The youngster told his parents about the encounter on Saturday, according to the officer.

A 12-year-old kid also claimed that the same boys had sexually attacked him in the school's restroom during the summer program, according to the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW). Similar accusations were also made by him and his parents against the principal and teachers, according to DCW. Police stated that it is unclear whether they are the same teachers the 13-year-old survivor mentioned.

According to the Pocso Act, an FIR should be filed against the school's principal and staff for failing to disclose the occurrence, according to DCW chief Swati Maliwal.
