Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP is set to step down from its role as auditor of Adani Port & SEZ, Reuters news agency reports.
It comes after the auditor expressed doubt about the specific transactions highlighted in the report by US short-seller Hindenburg.

Deloitte is likely to officially announce her resignation as auditor of Adani Ports in the coming days, a source told the Economic Times. It should be noted that Deloitte examined Adani Ports from 2017-18. According to Adani Ports' annual report for fiscal year 22, Deloitte was reappointed last year to a five-year term. If Deloitte resigns, it will mark the third change of auditors for Adani Group companies in recent months.
