'Forgot to appear': Kangana Ranaut seeks orders against Javed Akhtar  

 


Actor Kangana Ranaut applied to Mumbai Magistrates Court on Saturday, seeking bail for Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar. Andheri Magistrates Court is currently hearing Kangana Ranaut's complaint against Javed Akhtar regarding a meeting between the two in 2016.

On August 1, the court summoned Javed Akhtar to appear before the court on Saturday, August 5, following a complaint filed by Kangana Ranaut.

However, Javed Akhtar's lawyer, Jay Bharadwaj, submitted a waiver, citing a family member's medical emergency that forced Akhtar to leave Mumbai, leaving him unable to serve. court on August 5.

Objecting to the immunity, attorney Rizwan Siddiquee, representing Kangana Ranaut, sought a credible order against Javed Akhtar, citing a similar situation during the hearing on Akhtar's claim against Akhtar. Ranaut. Jay Bharadwaj objected to Siddiquee's submission, arguing that the circumstances and arguments were different upon hearing Akhtar's complaint.

On the contrary, Rizwan Siddiquee claimed that Javed Akhtar “deliberately failed and did not appear before this court. Therefore, in the interest of justice and fairness, it is proposed to issue a bail order on the defendant to compel him to appear the next day.

After hearing both sides, the court decided to suspend Kangana Ranaut's claim, giving Javed Akhtar the opportunity to comply with bail proceedings the next day.

Akhtar, who is charged in Ranaut's complaint, will be subject to the respective bail procedure.

Meanwhile, on August 8, the Mumbai Session Court will hear Javed Akhtar's reconsideration request against the issuance of proceedings and summons by the Magistrates Court, when he sought to annul the proceedings joined by Kangana Ranaut. Javed Akhtar and Kangana Ranaut have been at odds since Ranaut gave an interview about their reunion in March 2016. Javed Akhtar called the interview defamatory.

In 2016, Kangana Ranaut and actor Hrithik Roshan had a public war of words. It is said that Akhtar, who was close to the Roshans, decided to mediate between the two sides and held a meeting with Ranaut. He is said to have asked Kangana Ranaut to apologize to Hrithik Roshan. After the meeting, Ranaut claimed that Akhtar tried to "blackmail" an apology from him.

When Akhtar filed a defamation lawsuit against Ranaut by interview, the person went to court and according to her complaint, the court entered proceedings under Sections 506 (criminal threats) and 509 ( insult to the modesty of women) of the Indian Penal Code.
