Abdul Razak BP, the head of the outlawed Popular Front of India (PFI), was granted bail by the Supreme Court in a case involving money laundering.
When granting the accused's release on bail, a bench of Justices SA Bopanna and MM Sundresh stated that the defendant would give his passport in court.
The bench further stated that he would not leave Uttar Pradesh without the court's approval.
Abdul was required by the court to make a once-weekly appearance before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation officer.
After being denied bail by the Allahabad High Court, Abdul filed a petition with the Supreme Court. He is accused of collecting more than Rs 20 Cr both domestically and internationally to support PFI activities.
Allegations have been made that this money was utilized for anti-national actions.Â
