On X (previously Twitter), the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) posted pictures of the Chandrayaan-3 lander that were taken by the Chandrayaan-2 satellite on Friday.
According to Isro on X, Chandrayaan-2's Orbiter High-Resolution Camera (OHRC) now has the best resolution near the Moon.
But a short while later, the space agency removed the message from its X handle.
India's Moon mission Chandrayaan-3 landed on the lunar south pole at 6:04 p.m. on Wednesday, making it the first nation to accomplish so and into the exclusive club of four. This was a huge step forward for India's space program.
In Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday, former Isro chief G Madhavan Nair stated that Chandrayaan 3's success would increase India's worldwide commercial contracts since Chandrayaan 3 would be recognized for its technological prowess and launch capabilities.
The success of Chandrayaan-3, according to Nair, is the first step in starting India's planetary expeditions.
He told PTI, "We have really broken the ice and made a good beginning."
Isro estimates that Chandrayaan-3 will cost Rs 615 crore in total, which is roughly similar to the expenditure for a Hindi film's production.
