In Sharad Pawar's stronghold of Baramati, Ajit Pawar displays his dominance

On his first visit since joining the BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra and breaking with his uncle, NCP leader Ajit Pawar was given a warm welcome on Saturday in Baramati, which is both his assembly district and the pocket borough of party president Sharad Pawar.

Ajit Pawar was gifted with a massive garland of flowers while wearing a white kurta pajamas and matching hat. As he made his way to the rally's location, where he was honored, he drove the roadshow and greeted onlookers while keeping his hands folded.

Speaking at the event, Ajit Pawar claimed that the only reason he joined the BJP-Shiv Sena coalition administration was to further the state's development. He also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for carrying out numerous projects.

Ajit Pawar was unexpectedly appointed deputy chief minister last month, and eight Nationalist Congress Party MLAs were sworn in as ministers.

"I won't betray the Barmatikars' faith. I simply joined the Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis administrations in order to advance Maharashtra. Speaking to the crowd, he avoided using any names and added, "I never tried to disrespect anyone ever; I just accepted the reality.

He claimed during his speech that PM Modi is the only other hard-working leader in the nation.

"(Jawaharlal) Nehruji's) leadership was acknowledged in India. During his ten years as prime minister, Manmohan Singh Ji spoke less. Modiji is currently working hard, he claimed.

Ajit Pawar added that he had previously criticized Prime Minister Modi but later observed numerous initiatives and advancements taking place in the nation. I want to thank Modiji," he continued.

He claimed that the Sharad Pawar-founded Nationalist Congress Party may have won the position of chief minister in 2004. But I don't want to delve too deeply into that subject.

"Even Sonia Gandhi informed the late Vilasrao Deshmukh that even though the NCP has more seats than the Congress, we still didn't win the position of chief minister. Uddhav Thackeray also had the option of giving the CM position for 2.5 years. I can promise you that I'll be worthy of serving as the state's deputy chief minister.
