In memory of the brave heroes of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), the Union Territorial Administration announced 17 schools and a road named after the JKP martyrs.
Out of a total of 30 schools that have been renamed, the above number honors the brave souls who have made great sacrifices to protect their homeland.

In different J&K counties, 17 public schools have been renamed in honor of JKP martyrs.
Among the recipients of this unique tribute were several key figures such as Abdul Aziz Dar, Chand Mohammad Khan, Amanullah Khan, Amir Hussain Lone, Ghulam Mohiudin, Gulzar Ahmad Shah, Kafeel Ahmad Mir, Abdul Rashid Malik, Mohammad Yaqoob Shah, Abdul Khaliq Bhat, Gh. Mohidin Sheikh, Rashid Shah, Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Feroz Ahmad Dar, Mohd Mushtaq Malik, Kuldeep Kumar and Mohan Lal Sharma.
DGP RESPECTS THANKS
Following this announcement, J&K Police Superintendent Dilbag Singh expressed gratitude to the Government of India and Lieutenant General Manoj Sinha for this initiative. The DGP has marked this initiative as a tribute to the brave hearts of the nation. He said: “The naming of the martyrs' educational institutions is a well-deserved tribute to the martyrs of the JKP.
The DGP points out that such gestures by the government will immortalize those who have sacrificed their lives to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. It will remain as an eternal tribute to the martyrs.
GREAT BELIEF FOR SOLDIERS
The Jammu and Kashmir government has not only 31 public schools but also an associated road in honor of these brave warriors. These initiatives represent the nation's tribute to these martyrs and serve as a tangible reminder of their noble sacrifice.
