John Cena reveals he will be wrestling in India for the first time at WWE Superstar Show

WWE multi-champion John Cena has announced that he will be wrestling for the first time in India at the Superstar Show that will take place in Hyderabad on September 8.

The last time Cena wrestled in WWE was at this year's WrestleMania when he faced Austin Theory competing for the United States Championship and he ultimately lost to Theory in the match.

The Cenation leader will then make a surprise appearance at the Premium Money In the Bank 2023 live event, to an amazing reception from the crowd at the O2 arena. Cena will be calling for WrestleMania in the UK, which has been well-received by the crowd. Fox Sports reported on August 21 that the former world champion will return on the September 1 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The report also states that Cena will be wrestling at the Superstar Show in Hyderabad on September 8.

The news has now been confirmed by Cena herself on X, formerly known as Twitter. The 16-time world champion said he will be wrestling in India for the first time and is excited to meet WWE fans in the country.

"I can't wait to see the @WWE family live on #Smackdown! Especially excited to meet the #WWE universe in India and wrestle for the FIRST time in India! It's NOW…. CU all VERY soon!!!" Cena said on X.

WWE announced the Superstar Spectacle event in August, the company's official return to India since 2017. A bunch of big names like Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and Jinder Mahal have been announced to participate in the event.
