Kevin Owens' WWE career has been nothing short of amazing, from World Tag Team Champion to WrestleMania main event participant. At WrestleMania 39, Sami Zayn and Owens reconnected to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. Despite accomplishing amazing exploits and winning countless awards, the Canadian suddenly appears unsure of his WWE future. Owens' current contract is still in effect for another 18 months. The 39-year-old claimed that at this point, all he wants to do is enjoy the remaining years of his WWE career.
"When I take a look at things, I'm not sure where I stand after the next 18 months. I'm certain that I want to participate in wrestling. I am aware of my desire to work for the WWE and my place within it. Simply said, I'm not precisely sure where it is. It might still be in the ring, or it might not. In a Toronto Sun interview, Kevin Owens said, "I don't know.
"I think for the next year and a half, my main goal is to simply focus on having as much fun as I can with everything I do. Because I've been so fortunate and have been able to do all of that, there isn't really any concern about winning a title, main-eventing WrestleMania, or anything else anymore, which are the aspirations that everyone has. Therefore, all I want is to have a good time and leave people with good memories of me, said Owens.
Because of an injury sustained during a Monday Night RAW show, Kevin Owens is currently sidelined. At the ringside of Sami Zayn and Dominik Mysterio's NXT North American Championship contest, Owens sustained a broken rib.
The Undisputed Tag Team Championships may not be on the line at this year's SummerSlam on August 6 as a result of Owens' injury, which is viewed as a major setback.
At NXT TakeOver: R Evolution, Kevin Owens made his professional wrestling debut. A few months later, Owens defeated his current tag team partner Sami Zayn to win the NXT Championship. Following his promotion to the main roster, Owens began his tenure with a spectacular victory over John Cena. The Canadian was able to capture several of the most important WWE belts thanks to a string of spectacular performances. At WrestleMania, Owens squared off against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, in what was arguably his biggest match yet.
