Lizzo's dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, who was named in the sexual assault lawsuit, once disappeared

Lizzo's dance captain Shirlene Quigley previously disappeared due to mental health issues in 2016. Shirlene, who is named in a shocking lawsuit, disappeared in October 2016. The incident attracted national attention, and Rihanna and Missy Elliot begged to try and find her.

Shirlene describes herself as "very religious", as stated in the lawsuit. Brad also noticed that Shirlene was religious and also abstained from sex until marriage. Police found her thanks to a 911 caller who helped locate her and told police that "a woman was wandering in and out of a human trafficking ring in New York City, according to the report." While the exact reason for Shirlene's disappearance remains unclear, she was later found in New York shortly after.

Police Department Captain David Dowd is assigned the case and helps find Shirlene when she goes missing. In an interview on Page Six, he said: "She's 'very nice, sincere and genuine'.

The captain also talked about the time he met Shirlene and her father when they stopped to thank the captain and team for all the help they've given with the search and also took a picture with the star.

Shirlene and Lizzo have been accused of creating a hostile work environment for other dancers. Shirlene may have helped create an uncomfortable and sexual work environment around her colleagues and will be held accountable for sexual and religious harassment. Lizzo has been accused of coercing her dancers into sexual performances, among other charges.
