Madhya Pradesh's Newest Spiritual Haven 'Hanuman Lok' Brings Shape in Chhindwara

Hanuman Lok, established on the grounds of the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, will shortly be built at the well-known Jam Savli temple in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, on August 24 set the cornerstone of the Hanuman Lok temple in Saunsar near Chhindwara, the home of the late chief minister Kamal Nath.

In the heart of the Dandakaranya-Satpura-Maikal mountain range, at the confluence of the Jam and Sarpa rivers, is the amazing Shri Hanuman Temple, Jam Savli.

In the village of Savli, under the shade of a peepal tree (Ficus religiosa), there lives a self-proclaimed Lord named Hanuman. It is unknown who or when the idol of Lord Hanuman was installed.

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will develop the temple precinct, which spans 26.5 acres, in two stages. The Hanuman Lok project has a total cost of Rs 314 crore, of which the first phase will cost Rs 35.09 crore.

Two corridors, a regal temple entrance, and several other amenities are all included in the initial phase of development.

The temple entrance will be designed in a Maratha-inspired manner to symbolize the Marathi tradition and culture. The entrance doorway will be constructed of local brick and covered in grey stone.

A 500-meter-long Chiranjeevi walkway will emerge from the doorway; Lord Hanuman is referred to as the "Chiranjeevi" (the immortal).

The Chiranjeevi route, which leads to the temple's sanctum sanctorum, will be decorated with images of Lord Hanuman from different yugas.

The development of two wide lanes will flank the Chiranjeevi route. The first corridor, covering an area of 90,000 square feet, will display elaborate sculptures and paintings of Hanuman that represent major events and locations, including his birthplace Kishkinda, and his boyhood tales.

The second corridor, measuring 62,000 square feet, would show Lord Hanuman as Lord Ram's devotee through idols and antiques.

In addition, a 12,000 square-foot open-air theatre for the Ramlila re-enactment as well as an ayurvedic clinic are planned.

A parking lot with a floor area of more than 40,000 square feet will also be built by the tourism board to accommodate 400 four-wheel vehicles and an equivalent number of two-wheel vehicles.

A yogshala, lecture hall, walkway along the water, seating space, café, and apartments for devotees will all be built in the second phase of the temple corridor.

In addition, there are plans to build a Sanskrit-medium school and an Ashtasiddhi Kendra inside the temple grounds.

The project is one of the biggest integrated spiritual circuit development projects in the nation because it also involves the construction of bathing ghats along the Jam River.

The project's goal is to accommodate the growing number of visitors to the temple, which annually draws thousands of devotees for Hanuman Jayanti.
