Mumbai police increase security following protests outside Mannat over SRK's video game advertisement


The premiere of Shah Rukh Khan's forthcoming flick, "Jawan," is imminent. While his admirers can't wait to see him back on the big screen, the Bollywood actor recently got into problems with one of his advertisements that promoted online gambling. A crowd gathered outside SRK's Mannat home in Mumbai on Saturday, August 26, in the afternoon to protest his support for online gaming apps. Mumbai cops soon set up shop in front of the actor's residence.

SRK'S AD ENCOURAGES PROTESTS

Shah Rukh Khan has recently joined the A23 Games Platform as the Brand Ambassador, according to the online rummy platform A23. He recorded a commercial for the app in which he says, "Chalo Saath Khelein." UY Foundation was in charge of the oppositional demonstration.

The organization announced that it would stage a demonstration against websites and gaming applications like Zupee and Junglee Rummy. The protesters also expressed their opposition to online gaming sites, claiming that they corrupt and mislead young people.

According to reports, the organization made an official statement regarding the protest in which it claimed that "famous actors and actresses work in these advertising and they are working to mislead society. On behalf of the Untouch India Foundation, a protest will be organized outside Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat residence.

The younger generation plays Junglee rummy, according to Krishchandra Adal, president of the Untouch India Foundation. Big Bollywood stars advertising online games are fooling the younger generation, yet the authorities will arrest someone who is playing Junglee rummy or gambling outside. The Bollywood celebrities are pushing them even though they are aware that it is wrong and would cost them money. By purchasing their products and viewing their films, we help these celebrities become well-known. We demand an end to these commercials. These apps are unlawful, and Google does not list them; instead, they have been uploaded to unofficial websites.

Soon after, Mumbai police were stationed in front of Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan's residence in Bandra. According to accounts, the police also apprehended about 4-5 persons.
