According to a report, Srimad Ramayan will replace the popular show Punyashlok Ahilyabai next year. Punyashlok Ahilyabai has been pleasing viewers for more than two years and has made a huge splash. The contest will break up early next year.
Srimad Ramayan is produced by Swastik Productions by Siddharth Kumar Tewary. Tewary is known for creating and directing several popular mythological series including Mahabharat (Star Plus), Suryaputra Karn, Karmaphal Daata Shani (Colors TV), Porus (SET India), Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush and Radha Krishna (Star Bharat).
