Another "Peak Bengaluru" incident occurred when a city resident ordered an auto rickshaw and had to wait 225 minutes for it to arrive.
The resident shared the experience on social media, noting that they have to wait more than three and a half hours for a 45-minute trip since the wait times on ride-hailing apps are "getting out of hand." The ride's details, which showed that the driver would show up at the pickup spot in 225 minutes, were also shared by the resident.
"The wait time is becoming out of control. Must wait more than 3.7 hours to travel 45 minutes. The local wrote on X, "@peakbengaluru #rapido #Bengaluru #peakbengaluru.
In response to the post from Tuesday, the ride-hailing business Rapido stated that the wait time "seems like a glitch."
"Hello, this appears to be a bug. Could you kindly let us know your registered mobile number via DM so we can check this?" It answered.
A few more users of social media commented on the post with the phrase "This is the way."
A similar situation occurred in May when a Bengaluru guy ordered an Uber car only to discover that the driver was 24 kilometers distant and that there would be a 71-minute wait time.
The user also included the well-known "peak Bengaluru" hashtag in the caption of the image, which said, "Huge respect for him if he actually shows up." A Twitter user responded to the tweet with, "Huge respect for you also if you wait that long," to which the Bengaluru man said, "Hahaha. The driver withdrew after one minute. A depressing conclusion.
Bengaluru frequently sees conversations online and offline about its transportation and commuting concerns, with recent occurrences of a similar nature.
