Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with ISRO scientists to express his congratulations on the groundbreaking Chandrayaan-3 Moon mission.
PM Modi visited Greece for the first time since the BRICS conference in South Africa, and he then traveled to Bengaluru to meet with the Chandrayaan-3 mission's scientists at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC).Â
S Somanath, the head of ISRO, and other researchers welcomed the PM at ISTRAC.Â
PM Modi praised the ISRO scientists, saying, "What you all have accomplished is one of the most inspiring moments of this era." The entire globe now recognizes India's prowess in the fields of science and technology thanks to this accomplishment.
The PM spoke to a group shortly after arriving in the city before heading to ISTRAC.
The PM opened his speech with "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan." "People who believe in science, not only those in India but all throughout the world, are enthusiastic. I made the decision to visit Bengaluru upon my return to India in order to honor the scientists who contributed to Chandrayaan-3's success.
Siddaramaiah, the governor of Karnataka, Thawarchand Gehlot, and DK Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister, were not present when the prime minister took the platform. The Prime Minister declared that he had asked the Karnataka leaders to forgo the trouble of rising early to greet him.
PM Modi said, "I begged the Chief Minister, Governor, and Deputy Chief Minister not to take trouble so early as I did not know when I would reach Bengaluru.Â
The ISRO scientists behind Chandrayaan-3's success were described as "exceptional" earlier today by the Prime Minister, who added that he was looking forward to speaking with them.
"Arrived at Bangalore. Looking forward to talking with our outstanding ISRO scientists, who with the success of Chandrayaan-3 have brought honor to India! The PM had posted on social media before his visit, saying, "Their commitment and passion are truly the driving forces behind our nation's achievements in the space sector.
From Johannesburg, where he was attending the BRICS conference, PM Modi virtually observed the Chandrayaan-3 lander's flawless lunar touchdown on Wednesday.Â
