On Monday, a film industry analyst shared the most recent box office numbers for the movie on Twitter. "#RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani has hit 150 Crs NBOC in India despite a number of new releases. Since its debut, three significant releases have put Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani up against fierce competition. First, the August 11 release of Sunny Deol's action movie Gadar 2, which has earned over 450 crores at the Indian box office in just 17 days. Within the same time frame, Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 crossed the $135 crore domestic threshold. This past Friday saw the debut of Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl 2, and the comedy brought in an additional 40 crore during its first weekend.
Due to Onam and Raksha Bandhan, respectively, the following two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, are vacations in several parts of India. This may give Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's domestic box office earnings even another boost.
The movie starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has been performing remarkably well at foreign box offices as well. It has generated $19.2 million at the international box office in the month since its debut. Its overseas revenue this year is second only to that of Shah Rukh Khan's jaw-dropping $50 million spy thriller Pathaan.
