Schools in Delhi welcome 150 students from Manipur subjected to violence

During the Delhi government's Independence Day celebrations, Premier Arvind Kejriwal announced the enrollment of 150 students from Manipur experiencing violence in Delhi's public schools.

Kejriwal expressed sadness at the unrest in Manipur, a state that has been engulfed in ethnic violence for months.

He confessed: "Fighting and hatred is happening all over the country. Before, it was painful to think about Manipur."

As a step towards a solution, Kejriwal revealed that a modest effort has been made to help vulnerable students in Manipur.

“Today we had a small effort. Up to 150 children from Manipur have been admitted to public schools in Delhi without a certificate of absence,” he added.

These children were received without the general required documents, such as a certificate of absence from school. In addition to registration, initiatives are underway to help these students return to their daily lives, including psychological support mechanisms.

THE IMPORTANCE OF NATIONAL UNION

During the Independence Day event, CM emphasized the need to have a unified national spirit. For India to achieve global leadership, he believes its citizens must function as a family unit. Kejriwal said: “If we fight each other, India will not progress. If we work together, no force can stop India from becoming the number one country in the world.

The Minister emphasized the important need for positivity in the country amid the growing negative atmosphere and conflict.

It is important to remember that more than 150 lives have been lost as a result of ethnic violence in Manipur since May 3, painting a bleak picture of the state's internal situation.
