Several buildings collapsed in Anni of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh

In the wake of Thursday morning's rain-induced landslides, several homes in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district collapsed like a pack of cards. The terrifying episode was caught on camera, and although the full amount of the devastation is yet unknown, no reports of casualties have been made as of yet because the buildings were apparently evacuated a few days ago. The deadly landslip occurred 76 kilometers from Kullu, the district's administrative center, near Anni, a town in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district.

The administration noticed the risk and evacuated the commercial building two days earlier, according to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. However, the footage shows a number of houses collapsing.

In Anni town, at least eight to nine substantial buildings fell, as seen in the film, close to a bus stop. Initial reports state that two banks were housed in one of the buildings that were destroyed in the landslip on Thursday.

"Unsettling images of a huge commercial building crumbling amidst a catastrophic landslip are seen in Anni, Kullu. The government successfully evacuated the building two days ago after identifying the risk, which is notable, the chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu tweeted.

On Thursday, a new landslip struck Anni in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu, causing a number of buildings to collapse.

Damage to the Kullu-Mandi Highway disconnected both, leaving several vehicles stuck on the road.

The worst-affected city in the Himachal rain, Shimla, received 190 mm of rain in the previous day.

The IMD has issued a red alert for the next two days for Himachal Pradesh due to the ongoing rain.

In Himachal Pradesh, 113 landslides occurred this year's monsoon season, causing total damage to 2,022 entirely damaged homes and 9,615 partially damaged homes.

In Shimla, the queen of the hills, more than 100 structures have collapsed as the state struggles with the largest natural disaster in recorded history. This monsoon's flooding destroyed an old Shiv temple in Shimla's renowned Summer Hill neighborhood.
