Teenager stabbed to death in South Delhi, three arrested

A young man from New Friends Colony (NFC) in South East Delhi was killed and two of his friends were injured in a fight with another group on Sunday, August 6.

The dead man identified as 19-year-old Hritik, along with his friends Sonu (18) and Prashant (19) were attacked by another group on Sunday night.

They were walking towards C V Raman Marg from Khizrabad on a motorbike when an unidentified man stopped them. He asked Hritik why he beat the brother of one of the defendants, Shahrukh.

Then, Shahrukh, 21, and two others, Shoaib (18 years old) and Masoom (19 years old) arrived at the scene and attacked Hritik and friends with knives and sticks, police said. Hritik suffered multiple stab wounds and his friends suffered minor injuries. Hritik was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

He was wounded in the chest, neck, and abdomen.

A forensics team arrived at the scene and recovered a bloody stick. A case has been registered in the case, police said. Hritik faces seven criminal cases, including one registered under the Firearms Act in March. Three defendants were arrested.
