Top five gainers and losers today were Jio Financial, Tata Steel, HUL, and Bharti Airtel

 


On August 29, benchmark stock markets both the S&P Sensex and NSE Nifty50 gained for the second straight session, resulting in a modestly higher closing price. Key industry heavyweights like HDFC Bank, Larsen & Toubro, and Tata Steel delivered strong results, which were aided by encouraging global indications.

The Sensex finished the day up 79 points, or 0.12%, to reach 65,075.82. The Nifty50 increased by 37 points, or 0.19%, to finish at 19,342.65. Mid- and small-cap equities, on the other hand, outperformed the benchmark indices. The BSE Smallcap index had a gain of 0.69% while the BSE Midcap index rose by 0.45%.
