Uttar Pradesh police have arrested a man accused of killing a policeman in Firozabad district. Police said the man who worked as a housekeeper for the deceased sub-inspector had allegedly shot her over a financial dispute.
The late Inspector Dinesh Kumar Mishra, stationed at Aranv Police Station in Firozabad, was shot dead on Thursday night as he was returning from investigating a case with the accused.
For the past three months, Dheeraj has worked as a housekeeper for Dinesh Kumar Mishra with a salary of Rs 10,000 per month. However, the deceased sub-inspector is said to have failed to pay him for the past two months. Dinesh Kumar Mishra also humiliated Dheeraj when he asked for money to pay for his daughter's school fees and buy her books.
On August 3, an argument broke out between the duo over this, after which Dheeraj shot Dinesh Kumar Mishra with a locally produced weapon.
After the incident, Dheeraj called Mishra's wife and even reported the incident to the police. He was arrested by the police and convicted under several sections of the IPC, including 302 (in connection with the murder).
Meanwhile, the sub-inspector's younger brother, Rajesh Mishra, has raised questions about the Firozabad Police investigation. "Why did Dheeraj kill his teacher and brother like Dinesh, just out of anger for money? Where did Dheeraj get a gun to shoot Mishra while he was riding on a motorbike with a coin? Did the police catch the person giving the money? gun for Dheeraj?” Rajesh Mishra said.
Highlighting the huge amount of money Dinesh Kumar Mishra had taken from his wife, his brother added: “The deceased sub-inspector took a very large sum of money from his wife Rajni before going to investigate. This money is also missing."
Rajesh Mishra also said his family will investigate the murder and reveal the truth.
