Today, August 15th marks the 5th anniversary of the Telugu movie "Geetha Govindam". Directed by Parasuram, the Telugu romance film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda in the lead roles. The film was a commercial success, with the song "Inkem Inkem Kavale" becoming a chart hit. Rashmika and Vijay expressed their surprise at how quickly 5 years have passed since the film's release and shared their sincere gratitude to fans across the state for being accept the movie.

Rashmika Mandanna on August 15 took to Instagram to share a post in which she thanked the 'Geetha Govindam' team. She also wished her fans the 77th Independence Day. "Happy Independence Day from us to you and happy 5 years #GeethaGovindam my loves. Thank you for everything. Really! Forever grateful (sic)," her caption read.
Vijay Deverakonda also took to Instagram to celebrate 'Geetha Govindam's fifth birthday. The post features Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, and Parasuram all excited to spend the celebration together. They raised five fingers, marking the release date. Vijay mentioned that the anniversary has a special meaning because the movie was released on Independence Day. He wished his followers and fellow Indians a happy Independence Day and expressed his excitement to attend the “Kushi” concert.
Going forward, Rashmika Mandanna has a lot of interesting plans. She will be sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor in “Animal” and will also appear in “Pushpa 2”, “Rainbow” and “D51” alongside Dhanush. Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda is busy promoting his upcoming movie "Kushi" with Samantha. “Kushi” will be released on September 1st.
