Vivo refreshes its camera-focused V series of smartphones with the Vivo V29e. Vivo's new smartphone will be launched on August 28. However, before its launch, its price and specifications have been leaked. Vivo has also revealed some design specs and the key to creating hype around the smartphone.
First, Vivo V29e has a slim design with a curved screen, a popular design language for phones in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment. Realme introduced the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G with a similar slim design and curved display earlier this year. A few weeks ago, Motorola introduced a similar Motorola Edge 40. However, each brand makes some changes to make their phones unique.
Vivo again uses color-changing technology for the back, although it is only available for the red variant. Vivo has used the same technology as the Vivo V25. Second, there are two large cutouts on the back for the dual rear cameras. The front also has a punch hole for the selfie camera.
The Vivo V29e is 7.57mm thick, which is relatively thicker than the Edge 40's 7.49mm body. Old leaks claim the phone has a 6.73-inch display, a 4,600 mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Plus SoC with 8 GB of RAM. The phone can support at least 33W charging. Vivo has confirmed that the phone has a 64-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) for steady video recording and sharper images. The front includes a 50-megapixel selfie camera. Vivo claims that the selfie camera supports "Eye AF" for better and more reliable focusing. The company once again introduced night portrait capabilities, which have been the focus of the latest Vivo V series phones.
With 64 megapixels and OIS, you can light up dark environments and capture brighter, stabilized nighttime portraits with unparalleled clarity and detail, the website says.
Leaks indicate that Vivo V29e could be priced at Rs 25,000 in India. It is not yet clear whether there will be more than one storage configuration. In the coming days, more smartphones will be launched in India. iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will be launched in India on August 31. It is expected to feature a 64MP OIS camera, MediaTek Dimensity 7200, 8GB RAM, 4600mAh with 66W fast charging technology, and Wi-Fi 6. Honor also is returning as Honor Tech. Under the former boss of Realme India, Madhav Sheth, the company will soon launch the Honor P90 in the country.
