When speaking to the Northeast in the Lok Sabha, PM Modi becomes emotional and declares, "Hamare jigar ka tukda hain"

 


In a pointed statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the Congress party, accusing it of repeatedly failing to understand the sentiments of the Northeastern region. The Prime Minister highlighted his personal commitment to the area, noting that he has visited the Northeast 50 times, underscoring his dedication beyond mere data.PM Modi posed a series of thought-provoking questions, aiming directly at the Congress-led past governments. He asked, "During whose governance did Manipur find itself under the sway of insurgent organizations?" The question pointedly challenged Congress's track record in dealing with internal security matters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha in response to the Opposition's no-confidence motion against the NDA government.

The opposition moved a no-confidence motion against the Modi government on July 26 which was accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. This is the second time Modi is facing a no-confidence motion. The Parliament has been witnessing a logjam over a number of issues, including the violence in Manipur, since the beginning of the Monsoon Session on July 20.Continuing his scrutiny, PM Modi questioned, "Whose administration was in power when Mahatma Gandhi's image was prohibited in government offices? Whose decision was it to exclude the national anthem from schools in Manipur?"These queries were aimed at highlighting the perceived shortcomings and questionable decisions made during Congress's rule.PM Modi criticized the opposition's approach, suggesting that their concerns are politically motivated and selective. He remarked, "Their pain seems to be limited to politics, and they appear unable to think beyond those boundaries."
