Music maestro AR Rahman has addressed the numerous reports and complaints regarding the mismanagement of his recent concert that have inundated social media platforms. Rahman had organized a concert for his devoted fans at Chennai's Adityaram Palace on September 10.
However, it became apparent that many attendees were dissatisfied due to a range of mismanagement issues. Additionally, there were reports of children being displaced and allegations of harassment against women during the event.
In response to these reports, Rahman has further expounded upon his previous statement regarding refunding disappointed attendees. He shared his thoughts on Instagram, stating, "Some individuals refer to me as the G.O.A.T, or 'Greatest of All Time'—let me take on the role of the sacrificial goat this time to awaken all of us. Let's work towards fostering a vibrant live arts scene in Chennai with world-class infrastructure, an increase in tourism, effective crowd and traffic management, and instill a culture of adhering to rules among the audience. This transformation aims to create a safe and enchanting environment, especially for children and women. It is an opportunity to ignite a cultural renaissance in Chennai by celebrating our talented local and international artists who truly deserve the spotlight." (Note: 'G.O.A.T' stands for 'Greatest of All Time.')
This statement underscores Rahman's commitment to addressing the issues that marred his recent concert and his vision for elevating Chennai's cultural scene to new heights.
