Jude Bellingham is talented and appears to be lucky

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti showered accolades on Jude Bellingham, extolling the England midfielder's combination of skill and fortuity, especially following his game-winning goal in the Champions League clash against Union Berlin on Wednesday, September 20.

Jude Bellingham has embarked on a remarkable journey in his tenure at Real Madrid, leaving an indelible mark with his standout performances. His debut for the club on August 12, 2023, saw him immediately announce his presence with a goal in a 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao.

The young midfield sensation continued to dazzle, recording an astounding six goals in his first six matches for the Madrid giants. However, it was during a crucial Champions League encounter against Union Berlin that Bellingham truly stole the spotlight. In the dying moments of the game, he capitalized on a deflection from Federico Valverde's shot, calmly slotting the ball into an unguarded net, securing a dramatic 1-0 triumph for Real Madrid. This last-gasp match-winner not only ignited euphoric celebrations within the Santiago Bernabeu but also marked an incredibly auspicious beginning to Jude Bellingham's journey with Real Madrid.

As a result of this victory, Real Madrid has remained unbeaten this season and boasts a perfect record in all their matches since the commencement of the 2023/24 campaign.

Addressing the media in the aftermath of the Union Berlin encounter, Carlo Ancelotti, as quoted by Reuters, commended Bellingham for his current blend of quality and serendipity. The Italian manager also noted that the English prodigy demonstrates exceptional intelligence when launching attacks from a secondary position, effectively capitalizing on this skill.

"He has quality, and it appears that luck is on his side at the moment," Ancelotti remarked.

"He displays greater acumen than others when initiating attacks from a deeper position. He possesses this particular quality and is fully capitalizing on it."

Ancelotti also confirmed that Vinicius Jr. is set to make his return for Real Madrid in their upcoming La Liga fixture against Las Palmas.

"He ranks among the world's finest forwards. He is a game-changer. Vinicius will be back next Wednesday. We will assess whether he can feature on Sunday against Atletico Madrid," Ancelotti stated.
